Remodeling old and sentimental pieces of jewellery is a big part of what we do at Leskes Jewellers. Our clients and often ourselves are chuffed and thrilled at what you can do with old jewellery that has been sitting at the back of your jewellery box for years. It may be broken, it may have been inherited with sentimental value but not loved or you’ve changed your style or gold preference. 

There are a number of ways you can consider a remodel… 

• Upsizing, upgrading or refreshing your existing engagement ring
• Re-design an old engagement ring you have no affection for (a divorce ring) it can be a cathartic exercise when we Zooey it with sage, melt it down and make you something new and fabulous!
• You’ve changed your jewellery style! I find as we get older we love and can afford bigger and better pieces, in our early jewellery years we generally received jewellery as a gift from family, we didn’t know what we loved ir suited us, and we were saving for cars, houses and looking after children .. so now, we see it is as YOUR time - time to create a special piece you’ll wear adoringly and can pass down through generations. 

All of your old jewellery regardless of the colour of the gold can be used! I bet you’ve got missing earrings, broken chains and rings that are too small just sitting in your jewellery box. The existing gold, diamonds or gems can be used and incorporated into a new design and setting that reflects your current style and personality.  

Create matching pieces, or modify your existing pieces to suit your style and preferences-

You may have a particular piece of jewellery that has been worn through generations or so often by you, that it’s beginning to show signs of wear and tear. We can replicate old jewellery to look exactly the same, based on the physical existing design or even from an image. Or perhaps you have a beloved pair of earrings and you would like to make a matching pendant to go with them. We can design and replicate a new piece to match an existing piece so you can always wear the design you love. Sometimes, more is better! 

Consolidate old and broken gold-

If you have a pile of old, broken or pre-loved gold, whether it be 9ct, 14ct or 18ct yellow or rose, you can consolidate it to turn into something new. Our jewellers can melt down preloved gold and help you create a new design. We have helped clients create gorgeous rings, bangles, earrings and necklaces with old gold. The price of your new piece will be reduced according to the amount of gold that is contributed. This is a great way to save money and also to keep any sentimental value.
